A 5,000 square foot residence that was almost completely gutted and renewed. The floor plan was optimized to provide a more expansive use of the new kitchen with better access to the incredible views of the San Francisco Bay. Spaces in the basement were converted to a family room and additional guest room. The master bedroom suite was given a complete makeover with a better sense of entry and a refined bath, with a more usable closet. The exterior front was provided with a new dormer to make the home more welcoming to the street.
This project was a good example of where interior mock-ups helped significantly in deciding how the cabinetry and the extensive molding work would be coordinated.
